THE GROUND GOURMET BY CRYSTALTOP
CrystalTop is a low-carbon and eco-friendly flooring material designed with care by Thai individuals. Therefore, at Bangkok Design Week 2025, we are organizing the event “The Ground Gourmet” to explore the artistry of concrete, showcasing the beauty and diversity of this material. Although concrete is often viewed merely as a construction material, it has the potential to be transformed into various design applications. During the event, everyone will encounter artworks arranged using flooring materials, connecting them with the food we consume. You will discover that these two elements share remarkable similarities.

PERFORMANCE
Contemporary Performance Showcase the movement from embodying the cement, the materials, and the layering process of terrazzo. From this research, He has found similarities between the idea of the exhibition itself and the movements made. Perhaps it is not about seeing an object for only its original purpose, but more so what other purpose can this object serve. Like the concrete polishing terrazzo, perhaps dance can also be seen as a moving sculpture, a physical idea, a bird and / or one of the street food vendors on the streets in Bangkok.

The idea that both concrete and food are created from various raw materials, becoming valuable entities such as beautiful, sturdy concrete or delicious, aromatic dishes. Similarly, individuals require suitable ingredients to build their own identities. Each part of the work reflects the growth of ordinary people who seek the raw materials to express their individuality, utilizing words and connections between concrete and food to interpret various movements along the way.
